The challenge
A team buried in documents.
PIE teams work with students with special educational needs, the Chilean counterpart of special-education teams handling IEPs in the US. On top of supporting students, they must keep demanding regulatory documentation, run assessments and gather evidence.
The pain points are the same ones Benji's site lists: endless documentation, assessments done by hand, data scattered across folders and spreadsheets, and little organized clinical evidence.
What we built
One platform for the team's daily work.
Centralize
Each student's information and the program's documentation in one place.
Assess
Assessment tools and ready-to-use digital activities for sessions.
Measure and report
Progress tracking and reports without building everything by hand.
Built for its market
Designed around the regulations and formats Chilean schools actually use.
Who it's for
Two kinds of users, one tool.
- 01
Administrators and coordinators
See the status of the program and the whole team's documentation.
- 02
Specialists
Work with each student, assess and record without duplicating paperwork.
For your project
What you can take from this case.
Benji shows that niche software works when it solves one very specific pain for one specific team. It isn't "a school system"; it's the special-education team's tool. That focus makes users recognize themselves at first glance.
If you have an idea like that, see web app development and education platforms.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can you build software for a niche this specific?
Yes. That's where custom software works best: we start with the user's most repeated problem and solve it before adding features.
Let's talk.
